Night Routines are like Morning Routines, to every individual its own. It’s all about practices and what works for you.
But if you need a checklist article for both morning and night routines, to give you some ideas about what to include into your routines, leave a comment.
A checklist routine won’t determine what you need to put into your routine but it will help you point out the essentials.
Many are the things that can benefit your body, but nothing comes close to this 5- 10 minutes routine that you should include to your shower/bath ritual. Dry brushing is a type of Ayurvedic medicine that has been around for centuries, it works by exfoliating the skin. Practitioners of dry brushing rub a brush with coarse, natural-fiber bristles over their bodies in a particular pattern. The idea is that the coarse fibers will help to remove dead skin and improve the skin’s ability to eliminate toxins through the pores.
Here’s How to Dry Brush the Skin:
Start at the feet, brush the bottom and up the leg in long, smooth strokes.
Repeat the same process with the arms, starting with the palms of the hands and brushing up the arm toward the heart.
On the stomach and armpits, brush in a circular clockwise motion.
Repeat the process on your abdomen and back, and then switch to your face with the more delicate brush.
Brush each section of skin 10 times.
Note: Don’t brush too hard! A soft and smooth stroke often works best. The skin should NEVER be red, if it hurts at all, use less pressure!
What are the benefits of dry brushing?
Lymphatic system and the removal of toxins
The lymphatic system helps your body fight off infections. Dry brushing is thought to help the body release toxins through sweat. And the brush motion help open the pores which makes it easier on for your body to release sweat
It can brush away dry, dead cells from the skin. This can leave your skin more smooth and soft.
Similar to a massage, dry brushing may make you feel relaxed.
Massage has been shown to temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite. Some claim that dry brushing can reduce the appearance of cellulite because it has similar effects on the body as massage.
